Colleges in Charlotte

Charlotte's a big city, with all of the advantages that brings. There're some 600,000 in the city itself and in the surrounding areas up to 1.6 million. That means no shortage of things to do or places to go when there's no studying to do. It's also right in the path of the warm weather coming up from the south, so it has mild winters and hot summers: while there's quite a bit of rain it gets many more bright warm days than most other places. It's also growing fast: one of the fastest growing places in the country in fact. This means that there's no shortage of those all important off-campus jobs: it also means that wages are high. That's important if you're trying to stretch those student loans. Perhaps the greatest advantage is the number of students in the city. There are at least ten universities and colleges in the main city itself. This leads to a vibrant and thriving social scene as well as numerous extracurricular activities. Important to think about these things as the college experience isn't just about the books.
